Op.n is eCential Robotics’ modular platform for surgical navigation and robotic assistance. It brings navigation, robotic guidance and operating-room imaging into a shared workflow, with implant-specific applications supplied through partnerships. It is a surgical system used by clinical teams, not an autonomous surgeon.

Evidence and status

The FDA database records a 7 March 2025 substantial-equivalence decision for Op.n Navigation under reference K242914. On 26 August 2026, Spineart and eCential announced a further 510(k) clearance covering the PERLA TL application’s robotic-assisted workflows with the Op.n platform. That announcement concerns defined spine procedures and compatible implant systems; it should not be presented as blanket approval of every possible application.

UK and European position

eCential is a French medical-technology business with US commercial operations. The sources reviewed establish US regulatory milestones but do not establish current UK purchasing terms or the exact European conformity scope of this Op.n configuration. Pricing, installation, training and support therefore require institution-specific confirmation.

Company profile: eCential Robotics.
