X2W is the physical research robot documented in PrimeBot Research Institute’s household manipulation work. It has two seven-joint arms with grippers, a four-joint waist, a two-joint head and an omnidirectional three-wheel base. Together these provide 22 articulated control joints; the research system adds three wheel-velocity commands.
Head and wrist cameras support tasks including clothing manipulation, washer interaction and handling laundry baskets. The September 2026 paper describes using X2W to collect demonstrations and evaluate learned manipulation policies. XR-2 is the associated vision-language-action model, rather than the robot’s model name.
X2W should be treated as a documented research platform. The reviewed sources do not establish commercial ordering, public pricing, payload, battery duration or UK and European hardware availability. Its published hardware description supports non-commercial teaching and research under the project’s stated terms.
