Maxtronics Robotics SAS is a French social-robotics company continuing the NAO programme. Its official company history says it was established on 28 August 2025 to develop, sell and support NAO and create the next generation, NAO7.
History and current role
The same account says Maxvision Technology Corporation acquired Aldebaran’s core assets in July 2025. This distinguishes the current company from Aldebaran, the earlier developer also formerly known as SoftBank Robotics Europe. The reviewed account does not justify treating every historic Aldebaran product as part of Maxtronics’ current range.
Its NAO6 product page offers a quotation route and software including Choregraphe, Python/C++ development tools and NAO Activities. Education, research and social interaction are principal applications.
Support and regional access
Maxtronics’ migration notice set 1 October 2026 as the retirement date for Aldebaran’s legacy cloud. It provides updated NAO6 services and a supported recovery route for owners who missed the transition.
The company publishes a French address in Issy-les-Moulineaux and operates an active sales-enquiry service. British delivery, local prices and a UK service partner remain unverified in the sources reviewed.
See the NAO6 profile and our owner checklist for the practical support implications.
