Stanley Robotics develops systems that move parked vehicles using robots and fleet-management software. Its Stan robots lift cars by their tyres and transport them within managed parking or vehicle-storage areas.
Ownership and business
The French company is a subsidiary of HL Robotics, part of South Korea’s HL group. Stanley’s current company page confirms its integration into HL Robotics in 2025. This completed ownership relationship is distinct from the acquisition agreement announced in 2024.
The business targets airport parking and finished-vehicle logistics. Its product is an installed operating system involving robots, software and a controlled site, rather than a self-driving feature fitted to a customer’s car.
UK commercial evidence
London Gatwick’s 23 July 2026 announcement opened bookings for a robotic parking service near the South Terminal, with the first passengers scheduled for August. Drivers leave their cars in a drop-off cabin and retain their keys while the robots transfer the vehicles into parking.
This is a named British customer and public booking proposition. It should not be described as an entirely unattended operation: customer assistance, site procedures and vehicle eligibility remain part of the service. The announcement does not disclose independently audited uptime, intervention rates or maintenance costs.
Partnership and service relevance
Stanley invites partnership enquiries on its company website. Potential British work concerns installation, vehicle-handling operations and ongoing fleet support. An open UK reseller scheme, third-party diagnostic access or independent repair accreditation has not been verified. Those arrangements would require direct agreement with Stanley and the site operator.
