ugo is a Tokyo-based robotics company established in 2018. It develops the ugo robot family and ugo Platform software for work including inspection, patrol and visitor guidance, combining automated operation with remote human control.

Nova development programme

The company announced Nova on 16 September 2026. This wheeled, two-arm robot is intended for manipulation in factories and warehouses as well as robot-learning research. Mass production is planned for 2027. The announcement is not evidence of completed volume production or customer shipments.

Training data and model services

Alongside Nova, ugo introduced Physical AI Fabric. The offering combines teleoperation and wearable data-collection equipment with Data Factory, a task-data collection service, and Model Lab, which supports model adaptation, evaluation and implementation.

Named collaborators include ABEJA, APTO, FastLabel, Forcesteed Robotics, Muso Action and Prox Industries. A collaboration announcement does not establish contracted deployment revenue or independently validated robot performance.

UK and European relevance

The company illustrates a business model linking hardware, training data and continuing engineering services. However, the reviewed announcements do not identify a British or European sales channel, regional price, local service network or Nova customer deployment.

The Nova specification page lists a Japanese-market charging configuration. Prospective imports would require confirmation of the supplied electrical configuration, regional conformity, software access and support. A research enquiry should not be treated as evidence that a UK-ready production unit is available.

Profile reviewed on 5 October 2026. Company statements are attributed; UK availability and support are assessed separately from global product announcements.
