HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal is Humanoid’s research-stage walking robot for developing locomotion, manipulation and service-oriented physical-AI capabilities.
Role in the product family
The bipedal Alpha is distinct from Humanoid’s wheeled industrial platform. The company presents it primarily as an AI and research-and-development system for service and home-related applications rather than as a generally available commercial product.
Humanoid lists a height of 179 cm, weight of 90 kg, 29 degrees of freedom, maximum speed of 2 m/s, average runtime of four hours and a payload of up to 15 kg. It shares modular hand and gripper options with the wheeled platform.
Locomotion and sensing
The official product page describes straight and curved walking, turning, sidestepping, backwards movement, squatting, hopping and running through a reinforcement-learning whole-body controller. KinetIQ integration
The robot uses the same KinetIQ hierarchy as Humanoid’s wheeled systems. This is intended to let higher-level task execution and learned manipulation transfer between different robot bodies while locomotion remains embodiment-specific.

Robot Harbour records Alpha Bipedal as a prototype. Humanoid has published demonstrations and technical claims, but no public price, order programme or deployment schedule. Stable walking after a stated 48 hours of training is a manufacturer claim and should not be read as proof of general-purpose reliability.
