LG CLOiD is a domestic robot designed to work with connected appliances and assist with household tasks. LG introduced it for public demonstration at CES 2026, with scenarios including handling food and laundry.
Hardware and control
CLOiD has a wheeled base, a tilting torso, two articulated arms and a head containing cameras, sensors, a display and speech interfaces. LG specifies seven degrees of freedom per arm and five independently actuated fingers per hand. Its control approach combines vision-language and vision-language-action models with the ThinQ connected-home platform.
Demonstrations and availability
LG also featured CLOiD in its AI Orchestra installation at IFA 2026 in Berlin. That provides evidence of European exhibition activity, rather than a consumer delivery programme or proof that the robot reliably performs all household chores without assistance.
As of this review, the official announcements examined do not establish a public purchase price, UK or European delivery date, or customer support package for CLOiD. It is a wheeled home-robot development platform and should not be confused with LG’s separately reported plans for a bipedal humanoid.
