Hexagon is a Swedish measurement, positioning and reality-capture technology group, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm as HEXA B. Its robotics division is based in Zurich and develops the AEON industrial humanoid.
Robotics programme
AEON combines wheeled mobility with an articulated upper body and interchangeable tools for handling, inspection and measurement. Hexagon reported production-task trials at BMW’s Leipzig plant in June 2026.
In August, AEON entered Schaeffler’s German training environment ahead of a planned wider rollout. The announced thousand-robot programme is a future deployment plan, not an installed fleet.
UK and European position
European industrial pilots are documented. The sources reviewed do not establish a UK AEON customer, local purchasing terms or a British support programme. This assessment concerns the humanoid programme; it does not describe the availability of Hexagon’s wider industrial portfolio.
