HyLighter is HyLight’s uncrewed airship platform for inspecting power lines, pipelines and other infrastructure. The company combines hydrogen-powered flight with sensor collection and AI-assisted analysis. This entry covers the platform family; individual mission configurations should be confirmed with the operator.

Deployment stage

Enedis’ September 2026 project report describes regional experiments in France. The aircraft collected video and LiDAR information, with detected anomalies entering the utility’s asset-management processes. The report describes an ongoing validation programme, not a completed replacement of conventional inspection fleets.

The manufacturer describes autonomous missions and remote-control capabilities. That does not establish an absence of human supervision or authorise operation in every airspace. Publicly comparable intervention, weather-availability and cost-per-kilometre figures have not been verified.

Availability and procurement

HyLighter is offered within an inspection-service model. A public hardware purchase price, confirmed British service launch and UK operating permissions were not identified. Payload, endurance and dimensions should be checked for the contracted aircraft and mission rather than inferred from promotional material for another configuration.
